House of Cards September ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your week was a good one and you have lovely plans for the weekend. I’m back with my House Of Cards post today and as per usual we have a choice for you. You can use the colour palette or be inspired by the photograph or you can, like me, use both. There are lots of options for you. Here is the September theme …..

As is my normal I was inspired by both and here is my card …

An A5 rich shades of orange, red and browns
Lots of lovely details
All the yummy details
I love working with pinks and reds
I love how the green cuts across the panel
A final look

I am on snippet busting and distressing pilgrimages right now. I cut 20cm square patterned paper to fit the base. It has the alphabet printed multiple times on it. Everything else that I used were created with multiple different type of snippets from three of my four bags of snippets and they are now an awful lot lighter! I used Spectrum Noir AquaTints and it came out a bit more red/pink in colour than I planned but I love the rich colours.

As for the distressing I think I’m going through one of my phases again, pushing myself to see how far I will go whilst still loving the end result. It’s a lot of fun lol! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
