Pretty colours ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your weekend was good and your week has started well. I really wanted to be entered Darnell’s NBUS Challenge and although I’ve entered the challenge at Stamping Sensations already this month but I wanted to play with the beautiful colour scheme so that I could enter again. A bonus is that this stamp is very like the one in the inspiration photograph and here is my entry …

A 145mm square card
Not too deep so I can post this one
I really enjoyed water colouring this beautiful stamp
My two NBUS items - the owl and the bird
A final look

Created for me and especially for these Challenges

for never before used stuff!  The owl and the little bird dies are on their first outing!

Scrapy Land Challenge #74 Anything Goes

The Flower Challenge #12 Tic Tac Toe
I chose Distress Inks – Watercolour – Die Cuts

Everyone one knows that I’m a sucker for pink themes and if you add a beautiful blue colour to a theme then I have to create at least once, well in this case twice, projects to enter the challenge lol! I got to practice my no line colouring technique with watercolours usiing a pale grey ink pad and I have to admit I am really happy with the colouring on the flower for a change. I used my Distress Oxide re-inkers to colour the NBUS owl die and the watercolours for the little bird die cuts.

I got to use multiple snippetss plus two NBUS dies and I got to practice my watercolouring skills – a good day crafting for a change lol! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x

What a fabulous take on this month's photo inspiration Karen. Your card is so striking and I love the combination of the rich and vibrant colours that you've used. Also, you couldn't have used a more perfect stamp for your main focal image, you've definitely hit the brief! Thank you for sharing this with us at Stamping Sensations and good luck. Sandra x
