Rudolph Day ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors I hope your weekend is going well. My monthly reminder to create at least one card for Rudolph Day also prompted me that we had issues last year with not starting our online shopping early. The end result is that after I created these two cards I started our Christmas shopping lol!

Here is the first Christmas card I created …

An A6 Christmas Card
Great for posting!

Scrappy Mo’s Rudolph Day Challenge Anything Christmas Goes

This card took a bit of time but I am so happy with how it turned out. I started with a watercolour card snippet and I used my Spectrum Aquas to create a sunset in the background, trees/forest in the mid ground and a layer of white snow with lovely deers in the foreground. I scribbled the Spectrum Aqua’s onto my craft mat then picked up the colour with a paintbrush to create the scene. Once I was happy with that I dried it with my heat tool then I started to stamp the scene. I inked up the stamps with the Aqua pens then I lightly sprayed the inked stamps with water and stamped. I used a heat tool to dry each layer before starting on the next. It came together quite quickly after that because I delved into the Christmas snippet bag and old Christmas embellishments bag.

And here is my second card …

A 148mm square card
Great job on not needing extra postage
I managed to create a Brussel Sprout Christmas card!

This card turned out a bit differently to what I was expecting but that is my fault because I didn’t check the colour of the ink pad when there were four different shades of green ink pad with the lids off in front of me. However my brussel sprout Christmas card is going to be used lol! Stamping and heat embossing a few baubles then stamping the pine branches around the baubles and added a few splats from a Lindy’s Stamp Gang spray bottle. It was at this point that I decided to add the twine because it looked like the baubles were floating in the air. Of course sequins were added after all it will be Christmas soon!

And here is a final look at both ...

Feeling very thankful that I put time aside to create two Christmas cards and I’m also very thankful to Scrappy Mo as Mo’s monthly challenge has meant I have a box of cards ready and waiting to be written and posted which is a very good thing. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
