New stamps ...
Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your week is going well. Over at A Blog Named Hero Challenge the current theme is to CASE a designers card or project. Thankfully I have this stamp which was a recent purchase that I was able to buy because I got a really great offer and I didn’t intend to use the stamp for Christmas because I wanted it for my landscape scenes and here is the first card I’ve created with it …
I created an A6 card for a change!
It has some depth and texture too
A final look
Created for me and especially for these Challenges
I copied Kimberley Rendino’s card

I used four lol!

This was a quick to make card because it is a Hero Arts layering stamp. Working out the order of the colours to stamp with was the longest process with this card. I remembered to stamp onto scrap paper so no card was wasted but it did take me time but I think it was worth it lol! These are the steps:
1. I put Pebeo blue acrylic paint onto my craft mat and lightly sprayed it with a water. I used a make up sponge to apply the paint to my piece of card and I left it to dry naturally.
2. Using snippets of Kraft card I stamped the four layers of deer using Tea Dye and Brushed Corduroy Distress, then Vintage Photo Distress Oxide and finally Walnut Stain.
3. I used two different snowflake stamps and Picket Fence to stamp on the acrylic background. I carefully dried the ink on the background because the stamping with Distress IP onto acrylic means the ink stays wet – so I dried the snowflakes and I was careful not to let the acrylic paint bubble.
4. I die cut the black banner from a snippet and stamped the sentiment with Versamark and white EP. I fussy cut the deer and added the sentiment and deer onto my card. I used a little Stickles glitter glue to give some bling to my card and I added three dots to the banner too.
I did make sure that I created a couple of backgrounds so that I can use them later in the month, I am getting on much better with acrylic paints right now and that’s why you are seeing them so much more on my projects because I am loving the fact that if the background gets damp the acrylic paint won’t run which is a real bonus lol! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
