December Christmas Card #2 ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your weekend is going well. After my stamp improvement with one of my older stamps I decided to get more of those stamps out to play with and here is the end result …

A 145mm square card
Great for posting
The shimmer and shine of that iridescent paint

Created for me and especially for these Challenges

With the exception of the card blank everything else was created with snippets. The swirling green panel was a snippet of Kraft card that I coloured with my Pebeo Dyna Iridescent green blue and blue green paints. I love the finished look of these paints and that they actually look better on dark card than white. I adore using them on Kraft in particular lol! I used two shades of the Dyna paint and a make up sponge to colour the Kraft snippet. I’ve learnt from my play sessions this year that if I lightly spray the sponge or the card with water and then apply paint I get a much smoother blend and it looks beautiful too. I add small blobs of paint either to the card or my craft paint and then lightly spread them across the card until I have the coverage that I want. Over the past year I’ve also gotten much quicker at doing this too, lol, at last! I put the card aside to dry and the next day I stamped the tree and added Emerald Creek EP and I used WOW EP opaque white to stamp and emboss the stars.

I used snippets of white card to die cut the snowflakes and a left over piece of stencilled card that I had added texture paste to before colouring it with Perfect Pearls green which has a torn edge that shows I used Kraft card or paper for that too. I had to add a little Luminarte H2O watercolours to the torn edge and some splats because I thought it was a bit too dark and dull. I must have forgotten how vibrant the Dyna paint is once it has dried lol! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
