This card was created because
I’ve been playing with some of my very old stamps and playing with
these acrylic paints to see what backgrounds I could create using the
acrylic paints neat and onto Kraft snippets. I love this, I love everything about this! I used just two colours to create the background and once again I
used a make up sponge, from yea oldie pound shop, which was lightly
sprayed with water before picking up the paints and swirling it
across the Kraft card. I stamped then heat embossed the beautiful
reindeer with Emerald Creek embossing powder and I love that too. I
was worried that heat embossing such a large image would make the
acrylic bubble but it hasn’t and that’s so good. I used Distress
Brushed Pewter paint to ink up the stars and then lightly sprayed
them with water before stamping them and then heated them to make
sure they didn’t budge.
I
used coloured snippets for my die cut Merry Christmas, I think the
card had been coloured with Peacock Feathers Distress ink. I used
some little white stars that came out of snowflake die cuts. I used
a few of the beautiful sequins I purchased from Little Lucy’s Cards
shop. Before purchasing these sequins I had previously purchased a
pack from Dovecraft and I wasn’t happy with them because the colour
was chipping off the sequins so I indulged a little just for our
Christmas cards and they’re worth it lol! Thank you so much
for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do
appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do
soon ttfn Karen x
