December Journal #2 ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope you are still having an absolutely awesome Christmas with lots of lovely new goodies to play with! I’m back with another catch up page for my journal and it too just happens to fit a couple of challenges too …

An A5 journal page
Apologies for the photo's - I had issues with light bounching off
The deer on the right isn't so washed out IRL!
A final look

Created for me and especially for these Challenges

This journal page hasn’t come out as well as I hoped however I know what I did wrong so I will be trying this again in the new year when I have aquired a particular stamp, lol! Anyway all I did for most of this was I cut a piece of A4 Kraft card in half and then I used my Pebeo Dyna inteference acrylic paints to colour the whole background. I used a combination of a sponge and a brush to cover the Kraft card and I also started to heat it a little which is why there are a few bubbles on the page.

I then stamped the deer with multiple distress inks onto a snippet of white card and then onto a snippet of tissue paper with different inks. I fussy cut the stamped card deer and I used a damp paintbrush to draw around the stamped onto tissue paper deer. The card deer was then adhered onto my page and I flipped the tissue paper over before adhering it onto the journal page.

Yesterdays sweet little deer has now found out that Santa bought her a youngling to keep her company lol! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x

Hi Karen! Thank you for playing along with the Papercraft Business Challenge. I am wanting to try what you did for this post. I am finding I want to learn and create more than just cards, and I think a fun journal page would be a fun way to experiment and ease my way into using more of my craft supplies!
