Pretty puddy cat ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your weekend is going well. I was lucky early on in the January sales when I found this stamp set at a great price and as it is one that I have wanted for a while I thought it would be foolish not to, lol, I’m spoilt! Here is a pretty puddy cat …

An A5 page
He/she is beautiful!
The eyes and nose and mouth
And lots of acrylic paint splatters
Here's my two new set of Visible Image stamps

Created for me and especially for these Challenges
A Inky Mess Challenge #17 Anything Goes
Love to Create Challenge #4 Mixed Media Anything Goes

The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge
The stamps and stencil

I knew I wanted to use this stamp set but I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it for the first time. I grabbed an A5 piece of white card then I delved into my drawer and grabbed with Brush watercolour crystals. I sprayed the card lightly with water and sprinkled first the yellow Brusho then the Red. I let them blend together and I used a piece of kitchen towel to mop up any excess water and I left the page to dry naturally. After stamping and heat embossing the eyes, mouth and nose I used my Tim Holtz distress glaze to lock in the colour around the eyes and nose. I used my Pebeo Dyna inteference paints to colour his eyes and nose and then decided to stamp and emboss the full kitties that come as part of this set at the top and bottom and whiskers coming out from the sides. I also splattered liberally around the page with the left over Pebeo Dyna and some gold acrylic paint that were in my paint pallette at the time.

A quick to make and very enjoyable and fun thing to do with a new stamp set. I think that is something that I’ll try to remember to do in future is to play with new stamps in my journal as I will be stamping for me and pleasing myself, no one else. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
