Flowers ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your weekend was good and your week has started well. Because I had snippets left over from another card and this stamp set out I thought it would be good to play and use the stamps and snippets and here is the end result …

A 148mm square card
Lots of lovely texture
The pretty flowers
I managed to capture some of the shimmer

Created for me and especially for these Challenges

optional twist love/Valentine

As I already had piece of left over card from the card I shared on Tuesday I decided to use that for this card. I knew it would not be big enough so I went snippet diving. Luckily enough I found another snippet of resist technique card that was created with a Prima stencil, crackle paste and Spectrum Noir AquaTints, it’s a lovely rich purple that works beautifully with the original piece.

Using a pale ink I stamped the flowers onto a die cut banner, my current favourite die cut for stamping, and coloured the flowers with watercolour pencils and Luminarte H2O watercolours. Once that was dry I coloured the background with Shaded Lilac re-inker again. I am trying to use up a batch of old Distress products and Fimo air dry clay cherry blossoms so I coloured three of the flowers with the Luminarte H2O watercolours and added Stickles to the centre of them.

I played around with the layout and die cut the ‘fabulous’ from a left over lilac coloured snippet. I regularly have blue, lilac and pink snippets in my bags and so they come in handy. Luckily this was a quick to put to together card because with the exception of the flowers needing to be stamped and coloured everything else was ready to go! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
