Love Notes ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your weekend is going well. I’ve been playing with my beautiful Simon Says Stamps More Spring Flowers stamp set, I can’t seem to get enough of this set right now, and some lovely ephemera that was a recent purchase and here is the end result …

A 148mm square card
Lovely depth and texture
All the awesome details
That beautiful rose stamp
I managed to capture some of the shimmer

Created for me and especially for these Challenges
Country View Crafts Challenge Anything But Cute

It has been by pure luck that I have had patterned papers that work beautifully with the ephemera and the stamped and watercoloured flower. It wasn’t planned in any way because when I first received this stamp set I stamped about three of these beautiful roses so that I could colour them when watching TV or like I have this week whilst watching the winter Olympics lol! The patterned paper on the card is one of the magazine papers so it wasn’t even a paper I had picked in my style.

So the roses were stamped and watercoloured without me checking they would work with certain papers. And I ordered the ephemera about two weeks ago independent of the papers and stamps. Although I knew the design and colour of the ephemera pack would fit farely well with what colours I love to use the most. The ephemera arrived last weekend and I started to play with that and my patterned papers and then I remembered I had some of these stamped and watercoloured roses – a very happy and lucky coincidence!

Whilst I was finishing the card I realised that the beautiful sequin mix with lovely lush copper leaves included with it would work beautifully with this colour palette too. I wish creating cards like this was always so easy lol! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
