The background was created
with Brusho watercolour crystals. It has taken me a couple of goes
to get this type of background with watercolours. I have definitely
added too much water and too much paint in the past and now I know
how to do this I can work some more and experiment more with Brusho
crystals. I applied a wash of clean water and then sprinkled the
green Brusho’s over the card. I controlled where the colour was
going, moping up when I needed or wanted to, in this case I made sure
it didn’t spread the whole way across the card. I left the green
to dry for about twenty minutes before adding a little more water and
then I carefully applied the blue Brusho. Twenty more minutes later
was when I applied a final amount of water and yellow and red Brusho
crystals. I don’t have orange Brusho crystals so I blended the red
and yellow on the card. Once I had the colour where I wanted it to
be I left it to completely dry overnight.
I put the card away ready and
waiting to be used and here it is used today! I attached a Hero Arts
stencil and applied the acrylic paint through that. The little very
cute hedgehog and the sentiment stamps are both from Paperbabe
Stamps. The hedgehog is great because I can make a full blown scene
with him or use him like I have here. It is a simple card but I do
love the end result. I love the loose look of the watercolour paints
on this background and I am going to be making some more know I
understand how to create a background like this. Thank you so much
for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it
and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn
