Swinging in the Rain ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your weekend is going well. I’ve another postcard to share with you, before I do I promise to try to space these out a bit more so you don’t get too bored, but here is my swinging in the rain …

Such a lovely embellishment
All the details

Created for me and especially for these Challenges
Mixed Media World Challenge Mixed Media Anything Goes

I created this postcard by applying texture paste through the branch and swing stencil and left that to dry. Once it was I created a very rough landscape with Spectrum Noir AquaTints. I deliberately did not add much detail behind or around because I wanted the stencilling and paper doll to be the stars. I re-attached the stencil and coloured the branch and swing with distress inks. I used a damp paintbrush to add the raindrops and once the background was dry I edged it with a Distress ink pad and ink blending tool and foam. I heat dried my postcard then adhered the little one with 3D glue gel. I am really getting into creating these postcards, they are fun and great for my experiments! They are also perfect for landscapes which my lovely regular followerss know I love to create lol! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
