April tag #2 ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your week was a good one and you have lovely plans for the weekend. I’ve been playing with snippets again to create a collage background and it’s worked out well again which is a blessing. Here it is …

A second mixed media tag
Lots of lovely texture and depth
The beautiful peony
The shimmer and shine

Created for me and especially for these Challenges
Craft Stamper Magazine Challenge TIMI Anything Goes
Creatalicious Challenge #136 Anything Goes
Creative Fingers Challenge #144 Anything Goes

Love to Scrap Challenge LTSCB #108 April Showers Bring May Flowers
Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge A trio of something:
I’ve incorporated three orange flowers, three embellishments and
three background snippets

Along with playing with multiple snippets to create a collaged background I was also able to use a white card snippet for stamping and colouring the image onto. And I got to use several really old embellishments and an old bottle of crackle glaze: great fun. I wasn’t sure if the crackle was going to work because it’s been opened for such a long time and I recently put it on my desk to remind me to use it up before it stopped working. So I figured I was going to have a glossy or crackled peony and I ended up with a beautifully glossy crackled peony which was a very happy result lol!

The only issue I have is listing what I used because I used several really old snippets that have been in my snippet bag for a very long time. I love that this collage technique is finally working for me. Believe me quite a few have ended up in the recycling bin, which is where only things that have no hope of being revived ever go lol! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
