May House of Cards ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your week is going well. I’m here today with my House Of Cards post and as per usual we have a choice for you. You can either use a shaped card or the colour palette or be inspired to use both and here is the colour palette …

As per usual I wanted to use both and here is my card …

It's a very cute card
I ended up photographing more of the back than the side view lol!
The flowers on the front
The flowers on the back
A final look at the front of the card

This is not the sort of card blank I would normally use but I am very grateful I had it in my stash lol! I’m a white, cream or Kraft card blank kind of crafter because I can do or change them so that they become what I want. As the card blank was such a bright pink I decided to use the blue shades for the stamped flowers and a soft pink around the flowers because I knew that I could not fussy cut the flowers and vines because parts of them would not stay attached.

I stamped the flowers with Pumice Stone Distress ink pad and then coloured them with Distress re-inkers. Because I was heavy handed with the water and ink I needed to add detail to the flowers and leaves and I did that with my old Sakura Sparkle pens. I used some beautiful velvet ribbon to add texture to the front of the handbag card, I didn’t do that on the back because it would make the card deep and an issue for posting. I decided to stamp the flowers again and paint them with the same inks and re-inkers and stick them onto the back of the handbag card.

The thing that took me the longest time was the fussy cutting of the beautiful orchid flowers lol! It’s a lovely colour palette with options for both bold and pastel creations so I hope you come on over and play along with us too. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
