Snippets Week #6 ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your week is going well. Another snippets post for you today, as I am desperately trying to shrink those bulging bags and here is my card …

A 148mm square card
Okay to post with lots of lovely texture
All the yummy details
It is lovely and shimmery

Created for me and especially for these Challenges

Double D Challenge Bling it Up: I wish you could see the shimmery paints

Time Out Challenge Inspired by these words:
Friends are the charming gardeners
who make our Souls Blossom

I kept this card minimal because I really wanted the flower to be the star of the show which it is. I think I must have used undiluted ink to colour the stencilled background snippet as it really pops but that’s good because it works beautifully with the beautiful lilac stamp. I was a random linky choice at Allsorts in April and I won this beautiful lilac flower stamp. For my first play with it I decided I wanted to try out no lines colouring technique which with hindsight was a bit too hard, however I took my time outlining then colouring each of the lilac flowers and I think for a first go it’s come out quite well and beautifully. Unusually I am happy too lol!

I opted for shades of pink and lilac but next time I play with this stamp I am going to go full on lilac and full on purple lol! It’s so gorgeous it’s going to be fun to paint and colour and create more projects. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x

Good luck shrinking those bulging bags. It's so easy to end up with a lot of spare parts. You put this together beautifully. That background panel is WOW! You picked a toughie for your first no-line coloring, but you did a lovely job on it and looks wonderful with the background. Delightful shimmer. Thanks so much for linking up with us at Double D!
