House of Cards June Blog Hop ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your week was a good one and as it’s so very nearly the end of the week I hope you have great plans for the weekend too lol! It’s that time of the year that means it’s the end of term Blog Hop at House of Cards. It’s the beginning of June which means we have a lovely blog hop for you as well as the start of a new challenge: whoop whoop!! We are saying goodbye to some of our lovely team mates and wishing them the very best with any wonderful opportunities that come their way and we know we will see each other in and around blogland.

You should have arrived at my blog from our lovely Jane’s blog and after leaving me a comment you need to go to our lovely Katarina’s blog. Here’s the blog hop list just in case you get lost along the way …

Jane ; Karen (me) ; Katarina

We are very grateful and lucky this month in that we are sponsored by Digistamps 4 Joy and MHK Designs. These lovely companies provided us with images we could use on our projects: so my thanks go to our wonderful sponsors.

You can either use the colour palette or be inspired by the photograph or use both options and here they are …

I was inspired by the colour palette and the photographic inspiration and here is my card …

An A5 card
Good to post
The beautiful butterfly panel
This phrase is so lovely!
A final look

I kept my card base white and I meant to keep the other elements a lot whiter than they are but my brain decided it wanted to created a slightly distressed look and I know better than trying to force myself to create something in a different style to what my muse is telling me to do. I picked this beautiful floral and butterfly image because it reminded me of the inspiration photograph so very much. I decided to keep the image big and not shrink it too much and I am so happy I did that as it works beautifully on an A5 card.

I do hope you can come on over and join in the fun. There are some lovely images up for grabs and some awesom inspiration from the rest of the DT. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
