Birds, blossoms & butterflies ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope you had a lovely weekend and have lovely plans for the week. I’ve not been around recently because of my weakened immune system. In the midst of a summer heatwave in the UK I picked up a stinking summer cold lol!! It knocked the stuffing out of me but I am finally on the mend and I got to create a project I have been thinking about for a while now and here it is …

A 148mm square shadow box
Lots of lovely texture and depth
All the details
The inside of the box
&
The top and bottom of the box
One of the sides
A final look

Created for me and especially for these Challenges
Allsorts Challenge #476/77 Flowers All Over
Butterfly Challenge #103 Spin the Wheel with the letter W:
I chose the colour Wisteria & the option of a Window

Creative Embellishments Challenge July Challenge twist colour blocking
I was inspired to use mainly two colours, purple and yellow and to attempt to colour block those colours in a modern way. I have used a little green here and there too as it needed it for the foliage but the flowers were all kept in shades of purple, the background is all lemon and a little green or bluish greenish was added here and there

Frilly & Funkie Challenge Bees &/ Birds &/ Butterflies
Love to Create Challenge #10 Mixed Media Anything Creative Goes
Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge Add a little sparkle:
Both the acrylic and watercolour pains have a little sparkle

I think this wee box is going to end up in our neice’s bedroom as I think it’s perfect for a young girl. I used a lot of old stash items along with some newer goodies to create this and it’s not going to be the last 3D box I decorate, it was much fun to paint and decorate and I’m looking forward to my next home décor project very much!

I have used a lot of different supplies and tools and have tried to list them as best as possible. However if there is anything you have any questions about please feel free to comment and I’ll get back to you asap. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
