Butterflies ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your week is going well. I went through my folder of images waiting to be used over the weekend and found one of the lovely images and sentiments from MHK Designs and I had an itch to use them and here they are …

An A5 card
Good to post
All the lovely details
A final look

Created for me and especially for these Challenges

Once the image was printed I dried it with my heat tool for a while because I knew I wanted to add lots of water to the panel. I used my Distress re-inkers to colour the the main image and around it and the sentiment and then put them to one side. On another piece of card I attached one of my Tim Holtz stencils and added Texture Paste. I removed the stencil and left that to dry overnight. The next day I coloured that panel with the Distress re-inkers again.

I then took my time coming up with a layout that also meant my card fit Mrs A’s Butterfly Challenge – I knew I was going to use old rose and olive green and I wanted to see if I could do something with the over the edge option. I attached a velvet ribbon bow to the main image panel, overlapping the bottom and side edge so that it is at an angle. Lots of double sided tape hidden on the back of that to keep it in position lol! I adhered the texture paste panel flat onto the card, then I used foam pads on the back of the image panel and positioned that so that it overlapped the edge of the texture paste panel. Then I positioned the sentiment panel making sure it overlapped the other two panels.

I added three white bling gems to the bottom of the card as I felt it needed a little something down there and it turned out to be the finishing touch. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
