Happy Birthday ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your week is going well. I’ve been experimenting with stamps and stencils, layering or not to see how they looked and here is the first card I’ve created because of that experimentation …

An A5 card
Good for posting too
All the stamped and stencilled details
The flower with lots of gems
Lots of lovely shimmer

Created for me and especially for these Challenges
Allsorts Challenge #476/77 Flowers All Over

Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge Add a little sparkle:
I added gold shimmer to the centre of the flowers and gems

I started out by stamping the bunch of flowers twice onto A5 card using a red Versafine ink pad. Once I had done that I attached my A4 Artistic Flair stencil to the card and used acryic paint and a piece of sponge with a dabbing motion to add detail through the stencil. Once I had done that I removed and cleaned my stencil and once the background was dry I coloured the flowers with Spectrum Noir AquaTints.

A snippet was used to die cut the sentiment and Vintage Style Seam Binding as well as little bling gems were the finishing touch. I have to say I am really happy with the result of this experiment. There’s still white on show from the card yet the blue paint and pink flowers add lots of lovely detail whilst still keeping this as a one layer card. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
