Into the dark ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your week is going well. I have not been able to ut this stamp set away yet. Everytime I think I can put them in the box I have the strongest need to use them again and to use them in a different way to how I used them previously. This time I wanted to see if I could create the type of sunset you get after a long hot summers day and I think I captured that, well enough that I am happy with the end result. Here is my card …

A 5" x 7" card
Great to post
That lovely sunset
A final look

Time Out Challenge #114 Photo inspiration

Visible Image Stamps on Facebook Anything Goes

This time I stamped the background image with a grey Versafine dried it with my heat tool and then stamped the foreground image with black Versafine and I inked it multiple times to achieve a solid black silhouette. I dried the card with my heat tool because of the amount of black Versafine ink had been added. I used a circle die to lightly draw the setting sun and then coloured the inside with yellow, gold and orange AquaTints. I left that to dry naturally because I wanted to keep the colours as vibrant as possible. Once the sun was dry I coloured the sky using several shades of blue and I added golden wisps coming out of the sun into the sky.

I created my own background by scribbling my Caran D’Ache NeoColor II crayons onto card and blending them water and adding splashes of white acrylic paint to them once they were dry. A simple card that is perfect for men so I have another one in my box of cards ready and waiting to be used. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
