Into the garden ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your week has started well. I managed to get some stamping and card making done over the weekend, yippee!!! It’s been too hot for me to do anything much as the humidity we get with the heat in the UK has meant my RA is playing up big time. Anyways here is my card …

An A5 card
Great to post
All the stamped details
I added a little shimmer

Created for me and especially for these Challenges

I knew exactly what I wanted to stamp and how I wanted it to look when I started this card and I knew that I needed the card to be at least A5 in size because of the different stamps that I wanted to combine. It’s only been over the last couple of months that I have started to look at combining my stamp sets to achieve a certain look and thankfully it has worked really well this time. I’ve been wanting to see if I could combine three of my Sheena sets of stamps – a really old set (the poppy and daisy flowers) along with a set that I think is about four years old (the hummingbird) along with a set that I purchased last month (the Wisteria).

I stamped the wisteria three times at the top so that it looks like they are hanging down from a branch then I stamped the poppy and the daisy flowers and finally the hummingbird. I made sure the hummingbird looked like it was feeding from the wisteria flowers too. Once I stamped the flowers and bird I took my time colouring them and then the sky around them. It was, I have to admit, an absolute joy to stamp and paint these images. I deliberately only added a little die cut sentiment to finish because I wanted the stamped images to be visible and to be able to post this card without excess postage lol! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
