House of Cards August ...

Hello my lovely friends and visitors, I hope your wee is going well. I’m back with my House of Cards post today and for this month once again we have a choice for you. You can use the colour palette below or use patterned paper or both options and here is the colour palette …

I decided to use patterned paper on my card but not the colour palette and here is my card …

A 148mm square card
Will flatten when put in the envelope
All the details

I have no idea why but as soon as I saw that one of the options was to patterned paper my brain immediately decided that my card this month was going to be Christmas themed, What may have prompted that decision was the purchase of a Christmas patterned paper stack as I had finally used my old stack of Christmas paper. I used a piece of the patterned paper to cover my card and I die cut the poinsettia from one of the other patterned papers. I added score and fold lines to give the poinsettia depth and texture before joining them together with a brad. I then added glitter here and there to the poinsettia and glued it onto the die cut circle. I die cut the circle, birds, bird house and sentiment from snippets of white card then I coloured and glittered them before positioning on my card.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do appreciate it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
